House of Senl: Seng in Hell |
|
Hell is...unfinished business. In the late 80's I worked on this story with an artist named wayne lee. I think we both enjoyed the collaboration, but he got the chance to move west, so we had to drop the project. He gave me all the art. He said it was mine. I don't agree entirely, but I have posted it here with little more than a twinge of guilt. I give him credit, and my unfaded fondness.
About the art:
About the story: Chapter 1 is posted here. It covers the mysterious awakening of Sylver O'Rourke, the Seng Atuesc, in a far distant future. She is able to send her SCAP rider through a hole she creates in reality to find help for her. The SCAP encounters a besieged duplicate house. She tries to find a way to relate to them, but she's hampered by their distrust of her, her distaste for humans, and complications she hadn't counted on. Naturally there are some differences between the two versions. There are no significant changes between the art and the rewritten text, though. Click here to read the text format. Scroll down to view the first 19 pages. Seng in Hell is part of a larger story, some other pieces of which are posted on this website.

The next two pages are nearly identical. wayne was reworking the page to include the dead family members in the fortress reality. He did that a lot, but in this case, partly because the text hadn't been placed, and partly because of the image of Lona near the bottom of the first try, I felt the need to post the first draft.
