Second Sight
This prose comic follows the story of two girls who leave Earth and its civilized neighbourhood for what they think will be a wild gambling adventure. Instead they find themselves alone and hunted in a distant corner of the galaxy called Fringe Space.
The story of their journey is an extended limited series. It is part of a larger story, some other pieces of which are posted on this website. Why doesn't this comic book have pictures? It does. Each panel is a moment in time. The prose inside tells the story of that moment, and if I did my job well enough, should adequately describe the scene, and the action. The dialogue is limited to what speech balloons would contain, and the captions are there for narration, just like the comics with graphics. The story is laid out and paced like other comic books, too. There is a style difference between this story and "Bones of the Magus". I kept more to a grid with this one. Bones is more of a poem, while Seng is a straight forward SF story. Regular panelling felt more fitting here.
